Hey! So im building my first pc and when I showed the specs to my friend he said that the ram I chose is very big and it might not fit the heat sink.

The ram I chose:RAM CORSAIR VENGEANCE 8GB (2X4GB) PC3-12800 DUAL CHANNEL KIT(Link.)

The motherboard I chose:MSI ATX DDR3 2600 LGA 1150 Motherboards Z97-G45 GAMING. link

The cooler I chose:Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120mm PWM Fan Link

my case is Corsair Carbide Series SPEC-01 Mid Tower Gaming Case. Link

The ram my friend suggested me: RAM KINGSTON HX316C10FBK2/8 8GB (2X4GB) DDR3 1600MHZ HYPERX FURY BLACK SERIES DUAL CHANNEL KITlink

What should I do? Im a begginer and I've never heard of the fury series, only corsair vengeance

Solution
Well it is true that the Corsair vengeance is whats called "High profile" RAM meaning the heatsink on it sticks up rather high and that can cause issues in regards to fans on CPU coolers. Although if you want just one fan why not put the Fan on the otherside of the cooler? Also your case "may" be big enough to have the fan sit higher on the cooler, and in doing so clear the ram.

Thats unfortunate 🙁 I really liked the look of this case. Do you think it could fit in? It's just 2mm bigger. If not, should I change the cooler or the case?

Will the 212 evo fit in this case? http://www.e-shop.gr/case-zalman-z9-plus-black-p-PER.806928

P.S: Do I have to worry for any other parts not fitting in? Sorry, this is my first build

Should I go for the zalman z9 plus and the 212 evo or for the t4 and the spec 02? The spec 02 and t4 are cheaper and will arrive within 3 days while the zalman and 212 will take a while because they are out of stock. Is there a big difference between t4 and evo? Because I wanna have my computer before school starts

Thanks for the help madmatt :) Im going with the T4 and the spec-03/spec-02(not sure, do they both match?). I just want to make sure that the parts match... ;D

CPU: i5 4460 3.2ghz
GPU: Asus strix gtx 960 4gb
RAM: Ram kingston hyperx 2x4gb 1886mhz
Case: Corsair carbide series spec-03/spec-02
Motherboard: Msi z97-g45
Cooler: hyper t4
PSU: Corsair 600w 80 plus bronze

Fine with that mate ,the t4 will handle a 4460 easily.
The CX PSU does not go down well on toms though - they're too prone to failure after prolonged use.

Far better options available for similar money.

Seasonic 520w
Xfx ts or core 550

Even the evga 500/600b

All better psu's.

Thanks for your help :), I'll order the parts tommorow

CPU: i5 4460 3.2ghz (Already got it)
GPU: Asus strix gtx 960 4gb(Ordered, I should have it by the end of the week)
RAM: Ram kingston hyperx 2x4gb 1886mhz(Already got it)
Case: Corsair carbide series spec-03
Motherboard: Msi z97-g45(already got it)
Cooler: hyper t4
PSU: XFX ts 550w
HDD SEAGATE ST1000DX001 1TB 3.5'' DESKTOP SSHD SATA3
SSD SANDISK SDSSDP-128G-G25 128GB 2.5'' SSD SATA3

I just realised that my motherboard ( link) supports up to 1600MHz memory(Supports up to 3000 if I overclock it but I have no idea how this works.) Also my cpu supports up to 1600MHz ram too (link). Are there going to be any problems if I use a 1866MHz ram (link)? I cant change the parts because I already have them 🙁

Are you sure its not going to blow up or something ? 😛

http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/answers/id-2696371/1866mhz-ram-mobo-supports-1600mhz.html

Read the best solution, it basically says that the hyperx will automatically run on 1866MHz. 🙁

P.S: Actually, I think my mobo supports 1866MHz " Supports four DDR3 1066/1333/1600/1866*/2000*/2133*/2200*/2400*/2600*/2666*/2800*/3000*(*OC)", the cpu is the problem

EDIT: My friend told me that since my mobo supports 1866MHz, there's no need for a down clock to 1600MHz. He told me that I can use the 1866MHz with my 1600MHz CPU
