Ram not fitting into motherboard

I've been building my first computer everything seems fine except for my ram which won't fit all the way in, making it impossible to lock it. I've tried using some brute force, seeing any blockage, and trying the other slots but nothing seems to be working and according to the ram and motherboard they should be compatible.

IT should fit, everybody switched to one clamp RAM slots so you have to start by inserting it on the no clamp side at about 45 degrees and carefully push in evenly starting from that point.

check that the part number on the ram is right that you got ddr4 ram and not ddr3. if it is ddr4 ram and your still having issue see if a local shop help you out. may be board issue or heat sink issue.
