So I have a stick of ddr3 pny xlr 8 1600mhz. My mobo defaults it to 800mhz, I don't have an amp profile and when I go to my bios under memory timings it goes to 933mhz instead of 1600. It used to only go to 800 but I messed around with some things and got another option, but i don't know what i did. My mobo and cpu both support 1600mhz. I am using legacy bios and not uefi.
Could someone possibly direct me to sources involving the physical overclocking of ram in legacy bios? Or if I am missing something simple?
