[SOLVED] Ram not utilizing all GBs

So after I installed a new CPU it is only showing I have 8GB installed when I have 16GB installed. How do I make it so it utilizes both?

CPU Ryzen 5 2600
GPU Rx 580
RAM sticks:

G.Skill 16GB (2 x 8GB) Aegis DDR4 PC4-24000 3000MHz for Intel Z170 Platform Desktop Memory Model F4-3000C16D-16GISB

No it still shows 8GB installed in my bios as well

Was the RAM working with the previous CPU?
Is the RAM installed in the correct slots?
Is the RAM seated properly?
That could be cause by a CPU not seating properly in the socket or if it has some damage (broken bent pin).
What's your motherboard model?

The ram worked just fine with the previous cpu. It's a brand new CPU just installed! My motherboard is a GA-A320M-S2H

Make sure the CPU is seated properly.
Try resetting motherboard BIOS to default settings.

I reseated it and reset the bios along with going into config settings-it is working now. Thanks for the help
