Hi, I have bought new MOBO - Gigabyte B660 Gaming X, with i5 13500. I havent changed my RAM which is 3x4 GB ram 2666mhz and 1x16gb 3200mhz. On my old MOBO, ram was identified good, and i had 28gb. All rams was working at 2666mhz. Since I have changed mobo, id i insert 16gb 3200, its working. When I add 4gb 2666, its not working anymore, DRAM light on, system not boot, canto enter BIOS. And vice versa, if I insert 3x4, its OK. If I add 1x16 its dead.
Old mobo: Asrock B360 Pro 4
16GB stick: Crucial 16GB DDR4 UDIMM 3200Mhz SR CL22 1.2V
three 4gb stick: Crucial BALLISTIX 4GB DDR4 UDIMM 2666Mhz CL16 1.2V

I have tried to underclock 16gb stick, but below 3000MHz i have DRAM light on too.

I'm also not able to OC 4gb sticks to 3200MHz.

The best way is to but same 16gb stick that I have?

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

16GB stick: Crucial 16GB DDR4 UDIMM 3200Mhz SR CL22 1.2V
three 4gb stick: Crucial BALLISTIX 4GB DDR4 UDIMM 2666Mhz CL16 1.2V

Mixing and matching rams is not good practice. You should work with a matched set. Either work with 2 sticks of the Ballistix or the higher frequency stick of ram. In either case, you're actually loosing performance. On paper you have 28GB's of ram, but in reality, you're not getting much performance out of the mismatched layout.

If your motherboard is pending any BIOS updates, perhaps try that but in all scenarios you're best left working with a ram kit that's been matched from the factory.

Furthermore, be sure to reinstall your OS since you performed a platform swap/migration.
