Question RAM NOT WORKING AT STOCK SPEED

I had 8gb (2x4) ram in my computer but I decided to order 2 more 4gb sticks each to install on the computer and so get 16gb, after a lot of headache I was able to start the computer with the 4 sticks installed but my problem is that I can't use the 2 new sticks at the 2800mhz stock speed, the maximum I could use was 2400mhz and if you go beyond that the computer won't turn on until you remove the new sticks and go to the BIOS and put the old sticks back on the minimum speed. I know it sounds confusing but I wonder if anyone knows how to get the new sticks to run at least 2800mhz stock. Thank you and have a good afternoon

I'm not seeing where this motherboard supports 2800 at all.

I'm a little surprised it didn't go to 2667 and it went to 2400 instead....but maybe there is some reason. Memory can act pretty odd at times.

Ram is meant to be bought in pairs.

Its highly recommended to only buy ram in pairs, be it 2x4gb sticks, 4x4gb sticks, 2x8gb sticks, etc..

There is NO guarentee that, even when its the exact same ram and model, that the ram will work if it was not originally bought as a pair.

Now have you tried ONLY the 2 new sticks and seeing if you can run at higher speeds?

If you can, then its a ram compatibility issue and you should return the ram, save a little more and buy a 16gb kit specifically made to work with eachother.

But with the 2 old stick i managed to overclock them to 3060mhz i think, and they are the same thats why i came where asking why i cant even boot the pc when i go above 2400mhz
