I have a Gigabyte 990FXA UD3 Motherboard, and I bought a Crucial 8GB DDR3 1600 MHz PC3-12800 CL11 240 pin Non ECC Desktop Memory RAM UDIMM.
My computer doesn't beep when it turns on(as it does when it diesn't have any RAM, but still it never loads up, not even the monitor image,
The first time I put the new RAM in, it turned on fine, but after a while the computer died and didn't want to turn on again. The specifications I believe are correct, still nothing. I used to have a 4gb RAM on it and it worked perfectly well.
I wanna know if this could be that the RAM isnt compatible with my motherboard so that I can return before the return policy expires.

Okay, try booting up your PC with one stick of RAM (preferably the one you had before upgrading) and also try clearing the CMOS (this resets the BIOS settings of the computer back to factory settings) to clear the CMOS unplug the power and fin the battery located on the motherboard, remove the battery and the hold in the power button for about 15 seconds to drain all remaining power, after this reinsert the battery and power the PC up, What happens?

I tried that already and still nothing, maybe it IS the ram 🙁 I've requested a return already, I think I'll just buy Ram locally lol, even if i have to pay 10$ more for them, just so i dont have to go through all the trouble with mailing them back, it's the second in a row.

Thanks though
