Hi,
I have bought 2x4G-DDR3/1333 of kingston valueRam, to replace my current king max 1x2G-DDR3/1333.When I inserted the new ram modules the pc doesnt start up, Ive tried booting up with just one module and that doesnt work.I read on another forum that one needs to update the mobo bios. Ive done that and updated it to the "latest" which is 1.A (even though its from 2011), ram still doesnt work, pc boot just loops. I have read somewhere esle that it might be the timing/voltage have not checked that yet, but highly doubt that that is the problem. Also I have not checked if the ram works on another mobo but from reading other post/forums i see people have done so and it works but does not work on theirs. Please help.

Hi, thanks for the reply. Sorry I never stipulated the exact motherboard model its a MSI-H55M-P31, and on msi's website it does say that its compatible http://www.msi.com/product/mb/H55MP31.html#hero-specification. Cpu i'm not too sure (as the pc is my folks's) i know its an Intel i5 ill find out the exact model though. It'll be hard to test it on another pc as I have a laptop and dont know of anyone else with a desktop, i will try and organize something though, but i'm sure its not the ram I have tried both of the modules separately and both give the same boot problem.

Yes it does, the "latest" is version 1.A from the year 2011 nothing newer do you think that might be a problem? okay cool I will check and see what cpu it has but do you reckon that could be a problem?
