So i have z170 gaming k3... until now i had 2x4 kingston and it wasnt enough. I bought 2x8 corsair vegeance. Everything ddr 4 every ram functional . So i have my slots like this 4231 where 4 is close to CPU . It is dual channel and i had it 31 no idea why. Now i moved so 4gb was on 2 4 and 8 gb was on 1 3. Nothing works except 31 and it works kingston and vegeance(corsair)in order to reach 12 gb but it doesnt go to 24....i tried every single combination. A single time it booted up with all 4 but the system saw only 12.. so i redone it and now it is fuc*ed. If i put anything on slots 42 the sytems does 5 long beeps then resets. Ram is placed correctly inside. Thanks for reading , waiting for solutions...
