Ram not working plz help

what make model of motherboard and ram please to better diagnose.

1. how much ram are you expecting it to be both those memory sticks are 4gb a piece.
from your photos, F3-14900cl9-4gbsr is 1 of 2 4gb tram sticks, so you have 8gb of ram and your system shows it correctly.

2. since they are single channel, 4gb ram sticks, I would suggest putting 1 in slot 1 and 1 in slot 3 (where channel memory would be slot 1 & 2) yes the coloured slot will be different and that is because your ram is single channel and not dual channel you cannot put them both together in the same "paired channels slots"
