Hello, I just got 8 gigs (2 x 4) of Geil EVO Potenza DDR4 RAM for my new computer which has a MSI B150 M3 gaming motherboard, after I installed the RAM, CPU, CPU cooler, PSU and my SSD, I powered up computer, but noticed that there is no display, the fans work, and I also see that the mouse and keyboard don't have any power when I plug them in. I’ve made sure the RAM is put in correctly and I’m pretty sure its compatible with my motherboard (as far as I understand, the RAM’s speed is faster than my motherboard supports but it will just underclock the ram) could there be a problem with my RAM? And if so how would I fix it?

jsut wanna add that there are leds on my motherboard that come on when i turn the computer on and theyre supposed to be "EZ debug" lights that show when something is not working and i have my cpu in and it shows a light so i know thats working but there isint one on for the RAM or graphics card which i didint put a graphics card in yet so thats how i can tell the Ram isisnt working properly

No, that just won't allow you to restart at the push of a button.

You've got the CPU power (8pin) & ATX (24pin) installed.....and you've attempted to boot outside of the case with only Mobo+CPU+Cooler+1xRAM+PSU connectors? (ie no case or GPU)

no when i turn the computer on my screen is completely black and i cant get into the BIOS

Ive tried most of the things that could help and none of them made a difference but i do want to mention that the case (nzxt s340) did not come witha reset SW plug thing could that be a problem?

Oh in that case, follow the guide

thank you for the help turns out i just missed that 2 x 4 pin connector for the cpu and thats why it was showing the light ( the motherboard manual i guess had a typo so i thought the "EZ debug" LEDs were showing the RAM wasint working even though it was) so thanks for the help
