Now I know there are a ton of threads but a search didn't really give me much in the line of what I'm searching for.

So I have an MSI h310m vh-pro mobo with latest bios update. It's currently on an i3 8100 cpu with a hyper x fury, 3200mhz ram. I've looked around and I know now that the cpu doesn't support higher than 2400mhz. Yeah I know, learned about all of this after buying the pc. Didn't know back then about cpu support and ram and all that.

So anyway, I wanted to ask, is it possible to boost the ram to the possible 3200mhz it supports or will that be impossible with the current cpu?

If it is possible, can I get a link to the thread to do that? I understand xmp but sub timings and such is still beyond my knowledge. I don't mind learning if it is a safe procedure and won't destroy my ram.

Thanks for any help!
