ram of 2 different mhz can harm my pc

sorry for my bad english
so i bought a new ram today but it have different mhz so can it harm my any component of pc or affect my performance or anything other
or it would affect my gaming performce
i checked it on speccy my old ram is something 900 mhz ( dont remember the exact num) and this one is something 800mhz
and can some one tell me how to check the mhz of the ram ?

If both rams are in pc, download CPU-Z and post SPD tab, you can switch between slot #1 for example. You should be able to see both sticks.

And if possible take screenshot and post it here.

It cannot harm anything, but your PC would probably run both sticks at the speed of the slower one.

No, as long as it will post, it wont hard your system. But it will only run at the slowest speed. It is best to buy RAM in kits, as they are tested to work together. But they can still work if they are difference brands and speeds.
