Ram or SSD upgrade?

I have asus rog GL552VW-CN426T laptop. With 8 GB DDR4 Ram and an empty SSD slot. I dont play games and not planning for gaming in future.
I use the laptop for creative apps like adobe photoshop, illustrator, video editing in after effects and primiere pro.

I many times feel my laptop is slow.
Should i upgrade ram or go for ssd if i want fast performance while using the applications i listed above?

Please advice.

Actually, you want to do both for what you do.
I would do the ram first because those prices aren't dropping drastically yet while SSD are still dropping in price and expected to continue to fall so it's worth waiting on that to get the best price.
