Good day to you all!

I am trying to overclock my ram. So far i raised it to 2400, set the timings to 9-11-11-31, and upped the voltage to 1.65V. Everything works pretty well except when i look at CPU-Z my bandwidth is still ps3 12800 instead of the 19200 the ram is rated for. How do i change that? I saw no setting for that in BIOS.

Thank you!

Type of RAM: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231638&cm_re=F3-2400C9D-8-_-20-231-638-_-Product

i7 4770k
8gb gskillz 2400 cas 9 pc3 19200
msi gtx 980 4gb
GIGABYTE GA-Z97X-UD5H-BK

is that the XMP Profile option? my specific ram isnt an option so i didnt touch it.
I should find xmp in bios correct?

Every ram maker supplies several ram speed profiles in a XMP setting/
In the bios, there should be an option to set xmp1/xmp2 or possibly XMP3
That will set the voltage, speed, and cas numbers that the ram will support at that speed.
In cpu-Z look at the SPD options. If your ram is not in slot one, look in slot 2. One should say 1200 mhz(half the 2400) and a bunch of timings.

thank you for the help so far. I did check out my profiles and there was a more generic gskill 2400 - 2600 that would apply. it didnt really change anything. i assume i had set everything up correctly before that. CPUZ still shows my pc3 as 12800 though.
