Question Ram overclock unable to reach advertised speeds

7820x overclocked to 4.5 ghz at 1.17V
X299 rog strix-XE
32gb (4x8) rated at 2666 mhz

I've found that no matter what I do, I cannot get the ram to run at even the 2666 mhz that is advertised, and it will instead begin to recognize less ram in the bios.
At 2400 it will run all sticks fine
At 2666, it will only recognize 24gb
At 2800 it would either recognize 16 or 8, depending on tuning.
And at 3000, it wouldent boot and I had to clear CMOS

I've tried both the XMP profiles and manually setting the timings myself to no difference. And I tried setting the voltage up to 1.35 but didn't get any difference either. Not sure why I can't really overclock the ram at all.

Get the latest bios/chipset/management engine driver.....test.

Updating the bios seems to have allowed me to clock to 2666, tried the 2800 profile but that still wouldent boot and had to take out battery again.
I'm content with 2666 though
