So I have a asus rog strix z270F and a i7 7700k (OC to 5ghz). I also have a 16gb kit (4x4gb) of corsair vengeance lpx ddr4 3000mhz. I have so far overclocked this memory to 3200mhz on 1.2v, and automatic timings. I have not tested any real stability tests, other than the videogames I play, in which they don't crash or whatnot so I'm assuming it's stable to that point. I have read that faster memory doesn't increase performance by a huge margin, but I want to see what I can get out of the memory. Any tips on overclocking this memory would be appreciated!

Thanks,

Solution
I haven't bothered myself with nearly the same setup. Bought 3000Mhz to run at 3000Mhz, I did dial the voltage down though as 1.35 clearly isn't necessary.

2666-3200 is about the sweet spot on performance per dollar, so I split the difference as usual. Last time I bought the best ram out there I spent $300 and it slowly died over time from too much voltage.

Very little to gain from over... memory beyond 2800mhz, just a few apps, will benefit from it.
