Question RAM Overclocking issues

I have 4 sticks of ram, 2 of them are:
Corsair 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 3600MHz CL18 Vengeance RGB PRO AMD (Dual Channel)
and the other 2 are:
Corsair 8GB (2x4GB) DDR4 2400MHz CL14 Vengeance LPX (Dual Channel)

AMD Ryzen 5 2600X (Stock)
ASUS PRIME B450M-A

So the issues I have is that I have tried to overclock the ram two atleast 3200mhz mark but the highest I can go is 2933mhz. Once I try above 2933mhz, my pc would crash and restart itself a few times and would than reset all my bios settings to default settings.
What confuses me is that my motherboard states that it supports up to 3200mhz ram overclock. but once I even try to go up to the 3000mhz mark, it crashes and doesnt work.
I tried to remove my 2 sticks of ram that has 2400mhz and keep the other 2 sticks of ram that are 3600mhz installed, and try to overclock but once again, 2933mhz is the highest I can go.

Have you installed the latest BIOS for your mobo so you have the latest AGESA code?

I think it's a stretch to expect a DDR4-2400 kit to go to/above 3000MHz.

You should be happy with 2933 on 2400 memory sounds like all your going to get.

Yes I've got the latest bios settings but I guess 2933mhz will do for now, I did try to get my 3600mhz ram to 3000mhz without the 2400mhz ram but it didnt work for some reason but it's fine for now I guess.

To be clear, I'm talking about BIOS VERSION, not the settings within your BIOS.

Oh I apologize, I meant version not settings. Sorry for the confusion. And yes I do have that version.

It's that Zen+ cpu you're running. They rarely even get to 3200, most are rated at just being stable at 2933. Zen 2 is better, and I'm sure it'll get even better with the 4000 series.

Zen 1 rarely gets to 3200 Mhz. Samsung B-die was very popular at the time. Pretty much the only RAM you could get to higher clocks. Zen+ is slightly better but I still wouldn't expect 3600 Mhz. That's possible on the Zen 2 though. Pretty much across the board if I recall correctly.

My impression of Zen+ (which the 2600x is a part of) usually, but not always can reach 3200, but your particular 2600x/motherboard/dram chips may not. I've seen several people post reaching 3600 with a Zen+ cpu. I also have a 2600x and my memory is clocked at 3400 but will fail at 3466 or higher. You could try Dram Calculator if you're up to the work involved. That's what it took for me to get to a stable 3400.
