ram performance question

Ram frequency doesn't really have much to do with performance, upgrading might net you a small performance boost (5% at most) so it won't be a big step. up.

I just really guessed honestly, and I was wrong, it's more like around 10%. But that's only if your CPU and GPU are high end and aren't slow.

well I'm using a asus maximus v11 hero motherboard, a i5 4690k cpu, and a gtx 1060 6gb video card.

It's not worth the price tag, you are only guaranteed to get an 5% increase in every program. A 10% increase only happens in some games.
