So my friend bought a new ddr3 1333mhz 4gb kingston stick
and he already have 4gb installed..
and when he install the new 4gb stick the pc dont start
and when he install both the ram in the windows properties it says 4gb and in cpuz 8gb but in single channel..

So my question is are all the sticks working

Solution

Its not working, CPUz is detecting it but you said Windows only says 4gb is available, its due to some sort of compatibility issue. Normally I would say its not seated right but you said the PC won't even boot with only that Ram stick in there.

That tells me for sure that its either defective, or its completely different RAM than he already has, and has different specs timings, etc.

He likely has 2 different brands and specs of memory and they don't work together. Also if he doesn't skip a slot and put it in the second slot and not the 3rd then the ram will not work in dual channel.

He should return the RAM and purchase a model that matches the one he has exactly, or buy a brand new 8gb kit that matches the specs of his current 4gb. And then it should be installed in the first and 3rd slots.

You said in your post he has a 4gb one and added another.

Its also possible he got a different model, because something isn't working right.

If the board does only have 2 slots and the ram is the exact match, and it won't boot, then it is defective RAM.
