Hi

Yesterday I recevied my new system.

Intel Spur Lake Z77
Intel Core i5 3550
Nvidia GTX 550ti
Kingston Hyperx 1600mhz DDR3

Now my problem is that my bios won't adjust the RAM to 1600 but keeps it at 1333mhz.
Please help.

PS: Running win 7 pro 64x

Thanks

Under the Performance->Memory Overides->Performance Memory Profiles, choose Profile 1 for your XMP profile.

That should get the RAM to the 1600 speed if it's XMP enabled RAM. If not, you'll have to go to the RAM manufacturers site or contact them directly to manually set the voltages and timings.

Isn't this gonna hurt my warranty. And what about stability. Some boards see this as overclocking. I dont want to oc since my previous motherboard's BIOS got burned that way

I don't think so as 1600 speed RAM is supposed to be supported by the i5 3550 and you aren't changing the bus speed of the processor:

Contact Intel support to be sure of this one and post back here. This will be information we all could use.
