First: Forget looking better. Never let form get in the way of function.
Second: All depends on what the motherboard supports. CPU is likely moot with respect to installed RAM.
Update your post to include full system hardware specs and OS information.
For the most part it is the motherboard that determines supported hardware and configuration settings.
Find the applicable motherboard User Guide/Manual and use that document to determine what RAM modules are supported and in what configurations.
Just my thoughts on the matter.
