RAM Question: Can I use Intel Specified RAM in AMD Build?

OK that looks like a good starting point to figure this out. Thanks! I'll be ordering 2 sets, 8GB all together. Hopefully I can figure it out! any other links or thoughts would be appreciated.

Yeah but I wasn't even sure what to Google for! Now I have a good starting point. I've been out of the loop for a while and am trying to get back up to speed. Thanks again for the info and help.

So from knowledge of my thread, this is passing knowledge to you :)

Get the RAM you want and simply enter the BIOS system by hitting DEL or one of the F Keys (f1 or f2 etc etc).

Access your the chipset options, then your RAM options, then input the timing that is labeled on newegg or the packaged box of your RAM.

Youtube it, I found it quite easy. Visual learning is beneficial.

Yeah I figured I could find it in the BIOS settings, but wasn't sure what to set at. Your thread ( http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/266544-30-question-tweaking-intel ) got a good response and I will try those baseline settings suggested there and see what happens.
