First , as a warning : I`m an absolute 0 in computers , hence the question might be silly or something , but i need advise

Ok , so i`m running out of RAM , as today after getting to play the new Batman game as a free gift of Nvidia my p.memory sky rocketed to 95% .

So after hearing that ram is cheap i went to the overclockers website , and just thought to upgrade the ram from 8GB ( 4x2 GB ) to 16 GB ...

But heres the thing i have an old i7 sandy bridge from P.Bell ( its an acer in disguise as far as i know ) its an H67 . and i read that the thing only does 1333Mhz , but all the ddr3 ram i can see is 1600 at least .

Can i put the 4x4gb 1600mhz inside the thing or is it not compatible ?

If the RAM is faster than supported by the processor, it is simply downclocked to the highest supported speed. I'm currently running 1800mhz RAM that I got on sale in a motherboard that only runs 1333mhz.
