Question RAM Question regarding G.Skill Ripjaws V

I recently bought a new set of ram. I noticed my new and old ram are the same model, but different years. They both say F4-3600C16D-32GVKC, but one set says OCT 2020, and the other is OCT 2024. Would I be able to run one set in A2/B2 and the other in A1/B1? Both sets are 16x2, 3600, CL 16-19-19-39 1.35v.

What is the make and model of your motherboard? BIOS version for your motherboard? If the rams are identical all the way down to the SKU/timings/frequency and voltages, you shouldn't run into any issues since I know G.Skill source their IC's from one vendor.

If you do run into instability issues, then it's best that you run memtest first, 10 passes, then see if each ram kit works without any issues. What processor are you running btw? Keep in mind that running high frequencies on your ram kits adds stress to the integrated memory controller.

I have a x570 Dark Hero. It has the most recent BIOS which is 4902, I think. I have a 5800X3D. It’s not something I’m dying to do or anything. I was just curious since I realized they were the same except the date. Idk what the integrated memory controller is so I’ll have to research that.
