Hello
I have a Asus M5a97 R2.0 mother board and I'm buying a AMD (tm) 8320 eight-core processor and I figured I would go ahead and upgrade my ram as well so I was looking at the G.SKILL Sniper Gaming Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (PC3 14900) Desktop Memory Model F3-1866C10D-16GSR and was wondering would it even fit into my motherboard.
Is this good ram and if not can anyone give me some suggestions?

Solution
That is 'standard' DDR3 memory and will fit in the motherboard and run on it if you have a 64bit OS.

Here's the specification sheet. https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/M5A97_R20/specifications/

which shows that it will support your memory. That's a good board for a FX83xx and for overclocking it.

Memory is almost a commodity. G.Skill is a very reputable brand.
