Question Ram QVL how much should we worry in 2024?, bit worried before purchasing a 32gb kit for a B660M a D4 Asus.

minutes away from buying, but before just making sure with you guys, i discovered gskill has a page with their own compatiblity list wich is better than the one from Asus because they had some tested rams that werent in the asus page, however didnt see the compatibility list for (32GVKCF4-3600C16D-32GVKC) this specific kit i want to get, 3600 c16, i found in the compatibility the 3200 c16 one F4-3200C16D-32GVK wich is the other one Gskill is selling, you have those both being the main ones, currently running a kit 2x8 crucial ballstix black 3600 c16 with XMP enabled with no issues so i know it does support those timings and speed but should i get the 3200 and set for lower speeds than i have today but be "sure it should work" or get the 3600 c16 ones?

What is the actual model of your motherboard, as listed on the box it came it? Exactly?

So, that kit is not compatible with that board according to G.Skill and if they say it isn't compatible when 3600MT/s kits ARE listed on the left side filter selections, then it isn't based on their testing. Based on their testing, NONE of the 3600MT/s kits they sell are compatible with that board OR they simply didn't do any testing of 3600MT/s kits.

Corsair also does not show any 3600MT/s kits that are compatible with that board, which says that the design and configuration of that board most likely simply doesn't play well with high speed kits without significant trial and error and tweaking of settings, which most people are not want to do. If you choose to do so, you are likely rolling the dice on the idea that you'll be able to. And it might also simply be that at the time they stopped validating existing kits for that board they just didn't HAVE any 3600MT/s kits available at that time to validate on it and especially for cheaper boards they tend to not revisit that later when those kits become widely available, so it could be that one of them will work but again you'll be rolling the dice.

Crucial also doesn't show any.

The QVL DOES show some 3600MT/s kits for Corsair, Crucial and G.Skill, as well as many other brands, so if you must have a 3600MT/s kit I would probably recommend sticking to one of those.
