Hello,

Q1. If the RGB light of the ram (ram settings is default) is not lighted up, can it indicate that the ram is faulty? Can it indicated that the ram is not inserted properly?

Q2. Is it true even if you set RGB of ram off, during power up or restart, before login to windows the ram RGB light will be lighted up, then after you login into windows the ram software will then be auto loaded then the RGB light will be off?

Q3. Ignoring the price and only considering ease of troubleshooting, would RGB ram be a better option than non RGB ram? I assume if the RGB ram (with default settings) is not lighted up means the ram is going to become faulty or not inserted correctly? Or is RGB worse as it might cause confusion in troubleshooting because RGB ram (with default settings) lighted up or not has no meaning on the ram working condition.

Q4. Any comments/recommendations on the 3 rams below?

Thanks

1| Maybe. Check to see if you've seated the stick securely into the slot on the motherboard.

2| Can vary from platform to platform but I've worked with boards that didn't go to a specific color until after loading into the OS GUI. Asus, ASRock and Gigabyte being a few.

4| What motherboard and processor combo are you going for?

depending on the motherboard or RAM model, yes.

many times the user's profile needs to load through the OS which instructs the LEDs to be off, before so they should run with default lighting profile.

sometimes it could.

it could just be that the RAM's LEDs are faulty while their internal structure is fine.

it could also be that the set may need software input to start the LEDs at all.

all rams do not need any software to work correctly
outside of LED control there should be no manufacturer/developer software needed whatsoever.

usually just enabling the proper profile in the motherboard BIOS,
or on rare occasions needing to input these specs manually into the BIOS,
and they would run fine.

you may find a very rare occasion where memory kits are not supported by certain boards but i haven't really run into an instance like this in over a decade.
usually in these cases the RAM would still even run at a default spec, just not at the manufacturer's actual speed rating.
for precaution, there will always be a compatibility chart listed in any board manufacturer's product support site listing all RAM kits.
