I recently purchased an ROG Strix Scar II gaming laptop. The laptop is working great except for the RAM. It came with 1 stick of 16GB Samsung CL19 2666MHz RAM. I bought a second stick to install so that I could run dual channel, the second stick being 16GB Micron CL19 2666 MHz RAM. The RAM works and games seem to run fine, but I noticed that when monitoring the RAM with CPU-z or CAM software the RAM is only running at 2660 MHz (max = 2662 MHz, min = 2658 MHz).

Running at 6 MHz less than advertised doesn't seem like a big deal to me, but I wanted to check and make sure. Could it be a sign that something is wrong with the RAM? Or is one of the sticks just not capable of reaching the advertised 2666MHz? I know that it is better to match 2 of the same sticks of RAM, but I couldn't find the exact Samsung model that is installed.

Thanks in advance!

Its usually the BCLK/Bus Speed (In CPUZ) which can vary like 99-101 sometimes.
Mine is set to 102 cause I overclocked it that way for FYI.
With this software you can actually check if its running in dual channel mode in Memory tab.
Also you should not worry for 6Mhz... Thats nonsense.
