Just don't play around with voltages and you can't hurt anything permanently. If you run your RAM out of specification with regard to timings it just won't work until you adjust them back to normal ranges. If you would like some help adjusting these settings I'm sure the folks over at the Overclocking board would be more than happy to help. I'm not a OC'ing expert, I just know how to do the basics, so I don't want to give you bad info.
In cpuz 600mhz is 1200mhz effective, ddr= double data rate. You can set ram voltage and timings in bios(on most motherboards) to specs and is safe and recommended.
