Hello,
I was just digging around the specs of my computer and decided to compare what each program shows, so here's what confuses me.
My RAM, in Task Manager it shows this:
http://prntscr.com/al8by2
1600MHz
In CPU-Z it is
http://prntscr.com/al8cjs
Shows 799MHz and some NB Frequency at 2097MHz.
In Speccy it shows this:
http://prntscr.com/al8ddd
Brief information about installed chips:
http://prntscr.com/al8dz8
So how exactly does this work? As I understood, both of those sticks are dual-channeled, which I'm not quite sure how it works.
If they're dual channel, does that mean that one can't operate if other one is removed? I understand that they both make up that 1600MHz as both are 800MHz, so 800*2=1600MHz.
Or, if I remove one, will it be 800MHz and that's it?
Am I able to install additional RAM without any interferences to both?
I already figured out my laptop runs RAM on 1.35V and is SO-DIMM DDR3, CL11.
Or do I need to buy a new ram kit?
If anyone can please briefly explain things mentioned and questions asked, you are very welcome.
I run Acer Aspire V Nitro 17 VN7-791G
Thanks.
