Recently, I took out my RAM and put it back in but now only one slot is working. i have tryed both RAM sticks in the first slot and the PC booted up fine but the second slot is not working or being detected. I was using 2x4 GB sticks and without the full 8gb RAM i can no longer game without dropping frames and freezing.

Solution
First check the second memory slot THOROUGHLY for any signs of damage or for the presence of any dist, dust, debris etc.

Remove CPU and double-check that the pins and pads are not damaged nor bent, and make sure there is no dust, dirt, debris etc on or amongst the pins and pads.

Remount CPU carefully and evenly. Uneven CPU mounting can cause loss of pin/pad contact which in turn leads to all sort of problems, but often leads to memory issues.
