I had a mobo joshua H61-uATX with a i5 3330 .Its second slot was not working,so I decided to switch to my other mobo foxconn h61MXE .Therefore I placed my i5 3330 in it.Then Its 1st slot was working with max 4gb ram and its 2nd slot wasn't working neither with 4gb ram nor 2gb ram as it was working before.
Could it be the reason that the processor is making the slot won't work

The Foxconn motherboard you dropped in, was that with the latest BIOS update on it, prior to dropping an Ivy Bridge processor on it? You've also managed to compound an issue. You should've been trying to work with the older board. Now to most, it might even be that your processor might be at fault or the CPU socket has bent/broken pins.

What happened to your previous board?
