Ram slots won't enable + Only single-channel?

Hey there (🙂 So i recently bought a new pair of ram modules, which are not the exact same as the ones i already have. They are both form kingston HyperX, same Mhz (1600), same size (2x4gb), but different models ( 2 of them is Fury, and the new i bought is Beast). I installed the ram, and i expected them to work perfectly, but is not the case.. Only 2 of the ram sticks was enabled, which was the ones i had form the start, but it didnt use the ones.. I tought it could be because the new ones didnt work, but i did some switch-aroo, and the new ones worked just fine. I've heard some people say that you can't mix models, but i've also seen people who can do it wihtout problems. Later i noticed that it was only running in single-channel, which suprised me alot, so i tried do some things i the BIOS and updating yhe Bios, but that did'nt help, and i'm still running single-channel, btw my motherboard is from Gigabyte (F2A78M-D3H). As some of the screenshots show, a lot of programs now detect the ram-sticks, but it just does'nt use them. Hope someone can help me, since it bugs me alot 🙂

Getting two different kits of ram(even same brand) to work together is problematical at best and impossible at worst. Even two kits bought at the same time is a crapshoot. They sell matched sets of ram for a reason.

Try removing your old ram and only inserting the new ram. If the new ram works, and your old ram works, then the two kits are incompatible and they won't work together. Get your money back on the new ram.
