Just wanted to get a second opinion from the community on this one. I have 2x4GB sticks of Sector 5 1600MHz RAM running on a Gigabyte Z97-HD3 with an i5-4690.

The RAM is running at 1066MHz, but I'd like to bump that to the rated 1600MHz. I've enabled the XMP profile in BIOS, but the result is I'll be getting 1600MHz with a voltage of 1.65V. I've heard that anything over 1.5V for DDR3 is pushing into the danger zone, but XMP should manage safe settings, right? Am I safe using this profile and is the performance gain of 1066MHz vs 1600MHz worthwhile?

DDR3 can be pushed to 2v or more.
