Question Ram speed won’t go past 2133 even though it’s 3200 tried mostly everything I think!

This seems to be a major problem but my ram is not running at the correct speed I’ve checked task manager done the xmp stuff and nothing has seemed to work any help would be great thank you!
Cpu: ryzen 7 2700x
Gpu:msi 1660 ti
Ram: pny xlr8 3600mhz 16gb and xlr8 3200mhz 16gb
Motherboard: aorus b550m pro p

Especially "mixed memory" chapter.

Bottom line: do not mix the RAM.

with four sticks even mixed, 2666MHz should work, if it doesnt work, then you will need to tweak memory timings since you have mixed sticks to support both stick types

Thank you for the help but it didn’t work I’ll just run with 16gb for now and get some on the same kind and speed later it suck though lol because I thought they were all the same speed but then I got to my house and it turns out they aren’t lmao

Thank you I didn’t mean to buy two different speeds but I had already got home lol looks like I’ll just use the 3200 for another build

You did read the article i linked, right? If so, then you'd also know that even if you buy 2nd set of "identical" 2x 8 GB RAM and try to get it working at 3600 Mhz, chances are still 50:50.

If you want a guarantee, buy 4x 8GB or 2x 16GB set (for total of 32 GB RAM).
