Hello guys!
I've been noticing stutters in my games and I got it down to the ram but I'm having a weird issue.
Disabling EXPO makes the game feel better but more floaty/huge latency feeling?
Enabling makes the game perfect but 2nd game in I have stutters and hiccups in my game.

Is there any way I can stabilize my ram performance while having EXPO on to fix stutters ?

Specs

B650 AORUS ELITE AX
RYZEN 7600X
Kingston FURY Beast RGB 32GB 6000MHZ (KF560C36BBEAK2-32)
RTX 2080

• Default (JEDEC): DDR5-4800 CL40-39-39 @1.1V
• EXPO Profile #0: DDR5-6000 CL36-38-38 @1.35V
• EXPO Profile #1: DDR5-5600 CL36-38-38 @1.25V
• XMP Profile #1: DDR5-6000 CL36-38-38 @1.35V
• XMP Profile #2: DDR5-5600 CL36-38-38 @1.25V

It seems like they don't. Was using expo 1, expo 2 felt even worse so I didn't even try it.

It's missing a number. 36-38-38-?? Which voltage was it using?

I'm sorry I'm lazy, according to the ram sticks what should it be? You need to make sure the timings and voltage are both correct.

Sorry took that for the specification page.

So default is 40-39-39-77 1.1V

EXPO I was using 36-38-38-80 1.35V

Does ns latency play a big role ?

I'm not sure what you mean by "floaty/huge latency feeling". I suspect it's running fine but you know there is speed you are missing so you "feel" its slow. But I'm not there so I can't say.

Dropping from 40 to 36 might be too much. Even with the bump in voltage. Look for a 40CL timing like it's rated for. Or maybe a 38CL to gain some speed. My gut says 38-38-38-80 at 1.25 or 1.35 is the way to go. It's not much of an OC however. I'd try it at both 5600 and 6000.

Like I have stuttering issues, and by floaty/huge latency I mean that it feels like my mouse stays "behind" my movement it doesn't catch up in games, but I believe that it's mostly stuttering that occurs.

So like turn expo 1 and lower the numbers and voltage ? Or default and change them ?

Hello!

I would try loading the 5600MT/s EXPO profile.

Yeah definitely the EXPO, I made sure of it.
Unless something else is the reason of stutter and it just makes it worse? idk
It definitely got better by disabling the EXPO profiles but didn't disappear completely

Hello!

I'd try one more thing:
I'd reset the CMOS by removing the BIOS battery.
Yeah thought of doing that just left it for last because its a pain to do it on the lian li case.
Nevermind this mobos battery was easy to get to.
Will do it.

Is is that different than resetting through the bios ?

I don't think you can change numbers with a profile loaded. So default and change manually. If the system doesn't like it for some reason and doesn't boot, you'll need to reset the bios. Jumper or battery, shouldn't make a difference.
