RAM sticks incompatibilities?

Hello everyone
I recently bought a z97 + i5 4690k + 8gb ddr3 hyperx savage 1866mhz combo and i already had 2 ram sticks: 1x corsair vengeance 1600 8gb and a hyperx fury 8gb 1866

Thing is , they work in mysterious ways!
I can run them all 3 together or 1 at a time. But if i only use both the Hyperx's the pc turns on and about 2 seconds later it restarts.Doesnt even get to BIOS i think. It doesnt happen if i use savage+corsair or fury+corsair and they run perfect .
To add to this , if i put the hyperx's in dual channel and add the corsair one , i can boot up with no problem and i get the full 24 gb's !

There is a bent pin in the socket and as i have read that could be the reason i cant dual channel , but it's weird that i can , with the right sticks!

Any ideas? thanks in advance

Yes the bent pin can be an issue with memory detection.

I was suspecting it was the pin , But is there an explanation on why i can run all three sticks? Im really curious , is it random luck?

I've come across similar situations all of them work in different configurations with the MC = Memory Controller is messed up.

I see. Oh well , i got the bundle for an absolute steal (atleast compared to the other offers in my area/country) and I'm very happy with it! dual channel at 1600mhz will do perfect for me. thanks for all the info Blackbird
