I know there are a lot of threads on this, but I have tried everything lol. I just got my new RAM kit, upgraded from 2666 to 3600 Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro (CMW16GX4M2D3600C18)

so my ram is advertised at 3600 Mhz but in bios and task manager it’s stuck at 2133 Mhz. I’ve tried XMP profile and auto and nothing seems to work. My motherboard is an ASRock Z390M PRO4. It’s on a list for comparability so I don’t know what the whole issue is for me sadly.
PLS HELP!!

Go to the Overclocking tab and manually set RAM speed target to 3600. Or if it has XMP, just select that.

Your BIOS' homescreen will always report the lowest speed available.

To see actual speed, install CPU-Z and go to the RAM tab. Make sure it says 1800 or 1792 something. It's not going to be exactly, but it will be close to 1800.

I tried XMP, auto settings, manually doing it, and then when it reboots it says i have 3600 selected in bios, but in grey next to it, it says 2166. And sorry I am a newb haha, is CPU-Z on the internet for download?

When I get home I will take some screenshots, and show you what’s up. It’s hard to explain considering all the different kinds of BIOS.
I agree. I use to have Z97 ASrock mobo for my 4790K. But I'm not sure if they made some UI revamp. But most functions and features are named the same so, it shouldn't be a problem.
