RAM timing and clock speed

I currently have 8 GB of DDR4 RAM, (2 4GB sticks) @2133MHz, and it has a timing of 15-15-15-36

I want to get a 1 stick 8GB of DDR4 RAM, @2400MHz, and has a timing of 15-15-15-35.

Will this still work? I know it'll use the lower clock speed of my original RAM, but is the timing acceptable?

The timings are what cause issues when they are different. You may get it to work if you manually enter in the same timings, but it's not guaranteed. It is best to get the same exact RAM when adding to your existing RAM.
