I just bought a 32gb kit of 2x16 corsair vengeance rgb pro ddr4 3000 MHz c15 ram, I set the xmp profile, and it set the cas to 16 and the command rate to 1, does anyone here know why, and how to get the cas back to c15?
here are the picsNo problems, my post list highlights with updates in threads im involved in so i wont miss ya
weird, the bios says cas 15, and cpu-z and aida 64 says cas 16.No worries. Do those those cpuz spd xmp timing numbers match those listed in advanced memory menu in the bios?
do you think maybe its because the command rate is at 1 instead of 2?No worries. Do those those cpuz spd xmp timing numbers match those listed in advanced memory menu in the bios?
ok cool thanks a lot, so should I leave the command rate at 1 then? Can try command rate set to 2. Command rate 2 is usually set when have more than 2 sticks of ram.
Bios is showing the correct CL timings, Im not sure why Cpuz and Aida are saying CL 16.
If your system is running fine i'd ignore it, possibly a bug with Windows causing some diagnostic programs to read incorrectly? im not sure.
hey, even corsair cue is saying cas is 16 pic is attachedThanks, there's no hurry
one more question, are these ram temps good, I think they are, also I have the ram overclocked a little bit.Can ya post a screenshot of cpuz spd tab
https://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html
Command rate 1 is usually for 2x sticks, command rate 2 for 4x.
CL was the same before the overclockTemps are fine. Have you always had ram overclocked? What does CL say if left default xmp?
did not know that, thanksRyzen only supports even numbered CL. There is no issue here.
