Question RAM upgrade (add or upgrade?)

Hello to everyone, i own the rig described in my signature and as you see it's an old one with only 8gb of RAM. I don't plan on buying a new one for a couple of years more, that's why i want to add +8gb of ram. What's the better option for me, add +8 RAM (must be the exact same with the one i have?) or just ditch the current one and buy x2 8gb / x1 16gb new ones? Thanks in advance for your answers, you have always been helpful guys !

If you happen to find the exact same stick I would go for it, simply because its the cheaper option.
