I bought some new RAM to add to the existing RAM I have installed. I bought the same model numbers as far as I could. When I install the new sticks however I get stuck in a boot cycle lasting about 5 seconds and have to switch off the power to stop it. This happens if i install all 3 (1 old, 2 new) or any of the new ones individually. I've tested all the RAM slots with the old RAM and it boots fine. These sticks are a replacement from Amazon as I returned the last two when they did the same assuming the RAM was bad, but I struggle to believe I could receive 4 bad sticks from them.
The ram is Corsair Vengeance: CMK16GX4M2A2400C14R (New)
CMK32GX4M4A2400C14R (Old)
The only difference between the sticks are the new pair are from a 2x8GB 16GB kit and the old one is from a 4x8GB 32GB Kit (I don't have the other 3 sticks). I also noticed the version number on the label for the new sticks is 3.32 whereas my old stick is 4.23, not sure this should make much difference though.
My motherboard is a Gigabyte X99 SLI.
CPU is intel i7-5820k
Any help would be appreciated!
