I'm in the progress of upgrading my Hp Mini 110-4112TU Netbook and looking for RAM. My Mini has a none OE RAM from NANYA NT2GC64B88GONS-D1 1204.TW (2G 1RX8 11-10-B2 1600) Specs. 2gb, 12800S, 1600Mhz, CL-11, 204 PIN, DDR3/S0-DIMM. The ram serial is SQ1211805G.X2 which is not listed on NANYA's website so I'm looking for an alternative but has to be the exact specs. Its performance is good of well match with my netbook. Right now I'm thinking of using a 4gb ram with a speed of the same 12800S 1600Mhz 1RX8 CL=11 and has to the same size (dimension) w/ none OE original. Will it work or will it hurt my Mini? What would be you're best choice for my Mini?

The N2600 processor in your netbook officially supports only 2GB, but Intel's full of it. A quick Google search for "N2600 4GB RAM" will reveal quite a few users that have had no problems utilizing 4GB of RAM in their N2600 netbooks. The only things you'll need to be aware of are a) if you're using Windows 7 Starter, you'll need to either use a better edition of Windows 7 or just find a different OS entirely, because Starter is capped to 2GB of RAM, and b) you won't be able to use the full 4GB of RAM if you're using Windows since video drivers only exist for Windows 7 32-bit, thus you'll end up with a capacity closer to 3GB since you won't be able to run 64-bit Windows properly. If that sounds OK to you, this is the best RAM out there...
