[SOLVED] Ram upgrade for Hp14q-cs0014TU

Hello,

I would like to upgrade the Ram on my HP 14q-cs0014TU (Product number
7EF94PA) with a CRUCIAL RAM 8GB DDR4 2666MHZ CL19 Laptop MEMORY (CT8G4SFRA266)



The default ram present in the laptop is Samsung 4GB 2666Mhz (samsung m471a5244cb0-ctd).



However the product specifications on hp website and manual says that it supports a DDR4- 2133 SDram.



Will it be okay if I install a crutial 2666mhz 8gb ram along with the original samsung 4gb 2666mhz ram card and use them together?

It's just that I'm worried if the new 2666mhz will work ever since I saw that the hp product specifications mentioned 2133mhz.



Will I be able to use them together or will there be any compatibility issues.

I expect the new ram to speed boost my laptop.

Go here and run the scanner it will show what fits.
Crucial

Chances are your ram is running at 2133 speed.
Task manager/perf/mem should show the speed.
