Ram upgrade help

Hello all ive changed from 2gb ddr2 ram to 4gb ddr2 ram running windows 7 32bit have read it supports up to 4gb! but its only finding 3.3gb why is this?

any way i can get the missing gbs back?

You mean DDR3 surely?

Windows 32 bit system can not read 4 gigs of memory. The only way to read the full 4 gigs would be to upgrade to a 64 bit OS.

it reads 4 gb but can only use 3.0gb AND YEAH DDR2 RAM X79....

I have a worse problem atm the screen keeps shutting off and saying "no signal" with computer still running! im confused i have swapped back to old ram same problem checked gfx card working and drivers upto date still same changed bios setting from cpu overclock to auto insted of optamized and seems ok atm but well see!
