RAM Upgrade Help!

I have One 2GB RAM and One 4GB RAM.
I am thinking to replace my 2GB RAM with another 4GB RAM....

Is it worth upgrading ?
Note: I am using Laptop.

8gb of ram is fine depends on what you are using your laptop for ?
if gaming 4gb to 8gb is enough to play most games
video editing , rendering , heavy multitasking 8gb

Gaming and I will use Visual studio 2010 and SQl Server 2008 R2.

the difference will be noticeable with high end games that will utilize your 8gb like crysis 3 and farcry 3 etc
visual studio will also help with 8gb depending on what you are doing

I'm not sure than an extra 2GB will help very much with these games but realistically, how many laptops have a processor and graphics card suitable to run these anyway?
