Hello! The task of improving my parents' MacBook Pro (13-inch, Late 2011) has been thrust upon me. I've got two 4GBs of RAM that I've salvaged from a broken computer, and I'm planning on installing it into my parents' laptop, to upgrade it from 4GBs to 8GBs.

These are the two pieces of salvaged RAM:
  1. SRT4G86S1-H9H strontium specs: https://www.computerstore.co.za/SRT4G86S1-H9H-specifications-66713.htm
  2. EBJ41UF8BCS0-DJ-F elpida specs: https://starmicroinc.net/elpida-4gb...1-5v-sodimm-rfb-elpida-crh-ebj41uf8bcs0-dj-f/

Laptop specs: https://everymac.com/systems/apple/...4-13-late-2011-unibody-thunderbolt-specs.html

So would it be possible to upgrade my parents' laptop? And would using salvaged RAM from a non-working computer be safe? I only know that the computer couldn't start up so I was given permission to take its RAM.
