Hello forum, I have a Dell Vostro 3250 with i5 6400 1tb and 4gb of ram.
I want to swap my single 4gb ram stick for a single 8gb of ram, my question is, What do I need to look for?

Here's what comes up with kingston upgrade kit finder:
Kingston

Crucial

I want something more like HyperX ram or a ram with heat sink, but what are your advices for a newbie.

Solution
The RAM Crucial lists are all x64, or low density Intel RAM. x128 "high density" commonly called AMD RAM probably won't work.

They sell DDR3 1600 and 1866 speeds. They also sell DDR3, and DDR3L for that system. There are no ECC listed so that's not supported. These will all be UDIMM, and not RDIMMs which are for servers. Crucial.com guarantees their kits to work.
I looked at the one you showed. I don't see anything wrong. It's probably OK but that brand doesn't list the X64, or X128 in the part#.
I would suggest getting another compatible 4GB module so you will have 8GB of dual channel memory. The heatsink only matters if you're overclocking which isn't going to happen. Try shopping by the part number of your existing RAM module. Crucial guarantees their modules to work. You could call them when you order and see if they'll guarantee 1 4GB Module. RAM stops to refresh. if you have 2 modules they take turns doing this. It's a big improvement and will save some money also.

What I want to do is get a single 8gb stick so I can get another 8gb stick later on. What I really want to know is what I have to look for in a new ram stick, only clock speed, voltage, pins? or does ECC and non ECC, CL10, CL11 matter?

So I only have to look for 1600MHz, 240 pins and 1.35v? ECC and non ECC as well as CL10 and CL11 only matter if I want to match 2 sticks?

I am from Mexico and found this is a mexican Ebay online shop, it's cheap for 8gb: DDR3L in Mexico

Yes, it's the 3L you need to watch for. The rest is pretty standard. The 'L' means it works on the lower voltage of the 6th gen processor's memory controller. 6th gen CPUs have a lower voltage memory controller (designed to use DDR4 or DDR3L). So that RAM should work.

Btw, I hope $1,019 is not USD! 😉
