Question RAM upgrade

i have a Toshiba Satellite C50 A which has 4gb ram (4gb 1Rx8 PC3L-12800S) , I want to upgrade it to 8GB can anyone tell me the part number i need please.
Also is it possible to change the processor in this laptop.

I would highly recommend doing an 8GB kit over using two different brands. Better chance of it working properly.

And no laptops for a very long time have had soldered on CPUs. Basically the board and CPU are one.

Go to some memory manufacturer websites.

E.g., Crucial, Kingston, PNY, etc.

There should some online tools that will either directly check your laptop's RAM or be available as a download to run and check the installed RAM.

Try two or three of the testers to get a concensus. First on the modules that will work and in what configuration(s).

Then find the laptop's User Guide/Manual. The documentation should also provide the necessary RAM specifications.

It can work but is not preferable since it could be a different line or be from a batch using different DRAM chips. It could potentially cause system instability. It is always best to buy a set that was matched and tested by the manufacture to ensure the best compatibility.
